IPSY September 2014 - Street Style

I continue to LOVE ipsy and have been a subscriber since last year!  This month the theme was "Street Style".  If you don't know IPSY is a monthly make up subscription which costs $10 per month + shipping (free shipping in the USA) and you get 4-6 full size or trial size items and a cute bag!  Interested in signing up? This months bag was super cute! Its definitely one of their more stylish bags:

Here is what I got inside my bag this month:

 

 

1. Shadow and Crease Brush by Crown Brush - I just love getting "tools" in this bag.  You can never have to many brushes!!  I love that I got this in my bag this month.  This item is full size and retails for $17.50

2. Cailyn Art Touch Tinted Lip Gloss - in the colour Love Affair.  I'm so glad to see a new product from this retailer and not something that's old or out of season, I've been to their site and I know its one of their latest products.  I didn't like my colour, I'm not a red fan so I went onto the IPSY website and did a trade! I traded for the other offered colour which is called Basic Instinct. This is a full size product and retails for $19.00

3. Natural Water Proof Eye Pencil by Pacifica in the colour Fringe - Love getting liners so this is a win, I'm glad I got the brown colour!  This product looks like its a sample however I'm not 100% sure.  The full size retails for $11

4. Nourish Organic Moisturizing Face Cleanser - When I seen this I thought "finally a face treatment ill actually use" cause I am not a fan of face creams, masks etc in these bags.  I will use this cleanser however, its perfect size for travel.  This item is 1 oz and is a travel size, retail size is 6oz and is $13.99

5. Breogeo Deep Conditioning Mask - This item is a mask for hair, its  50/50 I may actually use it or not.  I am compelled to try it but with my busy mom schedule doesn't allow for me to do stuff like this.  When showering I just like to get in and out!  This item is 1 fl oz and is a sample size.  Retail full-size is 5.25 fl oz and costs $26


So this bag had 4/5 items I will definitely use, 1 miss isn't so bad!  The estimated value for this bag is $45.00.  There were 2 full size products and 3 sample size.

This month I decided to use my IPSY points and I chose this NXY Bronze Smoky Look Kit for 1000 points.  I was surprised with the quality of this kit and I was reluctant to get it but my points were about to expire and I wanted to be sure to use them.  I'm glad I did!

April 2014 IPSY - Beauty Rocks! And one full year of IPSY complete!

I have officially completed 1 full year of IPSY!!!!!!!!   I continue to love this subscription and look forward to that lovely pink package each month!  This months theme was "Beauty Rocks" and there are a few items in here to DIE for!

Here is what I got in this months bag!

1. URBAN DECAY 24/7 Velvet Glide On Eyeliner in Black!  Probably the best item in this bag and more then pays for the subscription with this one item.  The rest of the bag coulda been shit and I would have still liked it!!  This is only a travel size however this could have fooled me since its a decent size!  The normal size is valued at $20 however im not sure the value on this one.

2. Natural Lashes by KISS - ive always loved me some fake lashes so these are always greatly appreciated!  they aren't to wild either so this is a plus! Love this item! Full size product valued at $3.99

3. Lolli Tint by Benefit! I always get freakin excited when I see anything by Benefit in the IPSY bags, this time I got lucky and got one!  This is a really pretty pink blush!  Definitely a plus to have in my collection!  The regular size is 12.5mL and is $30.  We received a sample size of 2.5mLs and the value is not known but based on the size/price of the regular, this sample is roughly worth $6

4. White Gold Shadow by Colour City - this shadow is so creamy and mousse like, and is a great highlighter, I actually LOVE this and will use it often! it has a really nice finish!   This is a full size product and retails for $3.99

5. Tinted Lipbalm by Cailyn - we have received products before from this brand and so far I have liked them.  They are good quality and are a little pricy.  This month there were 2 colours and I unfortunately got the one I would rather not have.  Its a very pink colour and the other was a more nude shade.   Cant win em all I guess hehe but still a high quality product.  This is a full size product and retails for a whopping $19!

This bag had a 4/5 item win!  overall I loved all of the goodies! Total value for this bag was $32.98 + $10 for the UD liner (aprox) 

JULY 2013 IPSY BAG - Beach Beauties!

I know its August and the new bag is right around the corner, i wanted to make sure i got this post up before i receive mine!!!!

The theme for this month was Beach Beauties!  For those who don't know IPSY is a cosmetics subscription which costs $10 per month.  If your in the USA it's free shipping. For us in Canada the shipping is about $4 making an approximate grand total of $14/month shipped.

The bag:

- clear plastic cylinder-like bag that's see through, I'm guessing its supposed to be water proof for the beach. I did not test this theory!

ITEM 1:Sexy Hair Soy Renewal Spray. Its to create a beachy look and it conditions and texturizes!  I haven't really used this yet, I'm kinda "waiting" for the right time lmao, it smells awesome though and i like the concept.  This item is a travel size but it is sold in this size for $19.95.  It comes with a nice sprayer.  The sprayer also locks for when you wanna through it in your bag!  This item retails for

ITEM 2: BH Cosmetics California Collections Eye Shadow Palette.  I got three colours: purple, copper and gold!  Again I'm waiting for the right time to use it! I will definitely use it but these are the type of colours you use on a night out!  All very nice colours and very pigmented.  This is a sample size product.  The closest item they sell to this, is $8-$9 and you get more colours on the palette.

ITEM 3: POP Beauty Pouty Pop Crayon in the colour coral.  I have used this, its nice, easy to apply and not over powering in colour, and nice to keep in your purse.  It stays on surprisingly long which was a pleasant surprise.  This is a nice alternative to lipstick and lip gloss!  I can only find this item in a kit with other colours, the kit of 6 costs $25 , and we got a full size version in the bag

ITEM 4. Nailtini Nail Lacquer in colour Mai Tai.  This is a really fun colour.  I used this item FIRST and almost immediately, LOVE it.  I wish i took a pic cause i did nail designs as well <3 This item retails for $13 per bottle, and this is a full size product.

ITEM 5: Coola Mineral Face Sunscreen with SPF 20.   Haven't used it yet but its the perfect size to through in your purse, bag or diaper bag! I'm sure it will come in handy!  This is a small sample size product and the large size is $36.00!

This month we had 2 full size products and 3 Samples.  This makes it very hard to narrow down a value for the items!  In fact I only know the exact value for 1 product that's for sure!  So you can do that crazy math :)

All in all, i did like this bag and will likely use all products!

Backtrack... IPSY JUNE BAG!

The theme for the June 2013 bag was "On the Wild Side".  I LOVE this bag, its sooooo cute!  Favourite bag design in the history of ipsy, that's for sure!!!

ITEM 1. Star Looks lip pencil in colour "Tickle me Pink".  I'm not much of a lipstick person so this may or may not get used.  I don't have any lip pencils right now so its nice to have!  It may be too pink for me but we shall see.  This item retails for $12.00 and we received a full size in the June Bag.

ITEM 2. NYX Cream Blush in colour Hot Pink .  I love cream makeup, it looks so flawless <3 So this is something I would use.  I have tried it and its a nice colour, it doesn't look TOO pink.   This item retails for $6.00 and we did get a full size product!

ITEM 3. J Cat Sparkle Cream Palette - DO not be fooled by this, its not eyeshadow!  Its basically body glitter.  I would love to use it as shadow since I'm all down with the sparkle shadows but the label says not to use it on eyes :( This is probably the least likely product that id use!  Probably save it for Halloween or something!  Retails for $4.49 and its a full size product!

ITEM 4. J Cat Eye lashes. Eeeeekkkk i love falsies!  Can this bag be any more perfect? YAY for this item!!!  They are decently priced to making this a plus - It even comes with lash glue!  Retails for $3.99 and is a full size product!

ITEM 5. Best for last: Caitlyn Gel Eye Liner in colour Iron.   This item comes with its own built in brush!  Its a beautiful coal colour and Ive used 10 zillion times already and its probably my most favourite item in this months bag.  It retails for $21.00 on its own which already pay for this months bag twice over!


All together the total value of the bag this month was about $47.48USD and i paid $14CAD. 

IPSY BAG - MAY 2013

So thanks to one of the lovely YtubeTTCers, I subscribed to IPSY.com :)  When you subscribe you receive a cool make up bag filled with goodies!!!  I watched her videos on the unboxing of the bag so i thought id give it a try.

I ordered on May 16, 2013 and received my first bag on May 25, 2013.  Now apparently subscriptions are mailed out on the 15th of each month so mine likely didn't get shipped till a few days after i signed up!  The cost of the bag is $10/month and shipping is free in the USA.  Since I'm in Canada i paid a small shipping fee no more then $4.  So my total was approx $14. 

Here is what i got in the mail: a hot pink package :D very pretty!

 At first look in the bag i see all of the May goodies - As a side note u get 5-6 items per bag, some are sample size some are full size.  You do a quiz when you sign up with IPSY and they determine which items best suite you!

FIRST ITEM: Zoya Nail Polish -In GIE GIE pink # ZP651
This Item retails for $8 on their website and comes in a zillion colours!  I got pink in my bag and ill definitely use this colour.  Its a nice feminine pink that would look nice on finger or toes nails!  Comes in a pretty box as well :)  I received a full size product!

ITEM 2: St.Tropez Instant glow body lotion (washable tanner).

This item retails for $15 on their website and they have other options to chose from as well as other types of tanners.  When you open it up the lotion looks a very dark brown.   Don't be scared by this cause it actually goes on very sheer.  We all know I like to be brown so ill definitely use this!!  They have larger sizes available so i assume this is a sample size however it seems like you get a fair bit in the sample.

ITEM 3: Macadamia Healing oil Treatment for hair
This item retails for $13.50 and is one of many sizes the website offers (therefore can be seen as full size product).  They range from $6 to $75 for the largest bottle. It smells great however I've never used this kind of oil before.  It says it can be used as a finisher however if i dont use it, it may be in a giveaway in the future :)

ITEM 4: JUICE Beauty Lipgloss in  Champagne #1J3
This items retails for $15!!!  This is by far my favourite item!  Its dead on, the kind of product i buy and even in a colour id typically get.  It looks amazing over a super light pink! AHHH i love this <3 <3  This is a full size product!

ITEM 5: YABY Concealer in buff #cc008
This item retails for $4.95 and can be bought as a full size refill.  I'm very lucky cause this is pretty damn close to my colour so ill actually be able to use it! YAY!

So there you have it, MAY 2013 IPSY bag :)  I paid $14 and got a bag worth more then $56.35 (and that's not including the cost of the bag itself!  This was definitely worth the cost i paid and if you like make-up then its totally worth it!  Might I add that most of these products were natural/organic :)
